No matter what company you work for, the person / people in charge of lineman safety "Should Be Encouraged To Be Professionally Affiliated"....meaning this person should be involved in networking groups, training programs and attend professional seminars regularly which he / she learns, grows and protects their team. When a workers life is in their hands it's their responsibility to do everything possible to create & maintain a safe work environment. Line-Man.com is involved and affiliated with professional safety trainers and professional groups that can make a difference in your Safety Program.
On the Line-Level, encouraging employees or sending your line crews to compete in a lineman rodeo is a great opportunity to allow your employees to grow their knowledge of their trade. Think about it, an employee engaged on a lineman rodeo team is 10 times more likely to engage in communicating work skills in their personal (off-time) than any other medium known to the industry. They're willing to train in their off time, devise techniques to more-effectively get the job done. They also meet people that perform the exact same job they do every day....thus giving them an opportunity to "network" and learn even more.

NEVER BEFORE HAS ANY WEBSITE opened the lines of communication to safety management like we will. Line-Man.com has teamed up with Incident-Prevention (iP), Institute for Safety in Powerline Construction (ISPC), Inter-Utility Overhead Taining Association (I.U.O.T.A.) and Raines Utility Safety Solutions (R.U.S.S.) and we're interested in your views on workplace safety. Please post your safety stories, pictures and videos on our Forum Board and tell us what went wrong and what you did to correct the situation.
In the near future our goal is to create and offer a FREE Tailgate Safety Program that T&D construction company's can use to suppliment their weekly safety meetings. It will include forms to document meeting attendee's, incident reporting procedures and forms for proper documentation, not to mention "how-to-implement" guidelines as well as tips on keeping an effective program in working order in your shop. YOUR OPINION COUNTS and IS IMPORTANT TO US!
When completed, you can expect to find is approximately 25-30 Tailgate Safety Meeting - Topics that are robust in content and specifically developed for the unique work environments we work in.
